Mexico City Food Guide: Panadería Rosetta
When researching Mexico City, one place kept popping up: Panadería Rosetta. Panadería Rosetta is an authentic Mexican bakery that offers all your favorite pastries. They also serve coffee, tea, breakfast, and other food options. My friend and I visited Mexico City just before Day of the Dead and were able to experience the beautiful cempasúchil décor throughout the city. Panadería Rosetta was adorned with marigolds, making it a truly memorable experience.
Since we were in town during the Day of the Dead festivities, we tried the pan de muerto covered in black ash. The warm breakfast sandwich was perfect for the chilly morning. The iced coffee was strong and sweet, while the hot matcha latte was creamy and smooth. We ordered a variety of pastries to try and encourage you to sample whatever catches your eye!
It was advised to arrive early if you wanted a seat, and this proved true. Unfortunately, I arrived later than expected and couldn’t get a seat. However, I still took my items to go and enjoyed them while standing by the wall. The experience of visiting Panadería Rosetta was memorable, and I look forward to returning.
When I came back home, I brought some pastries with me, and they survived the plane ride perfectly. This was the perfect way to share a local favorite with my friends and family—a souvenir they could enjoy. This is a must on your trip to CDMX!
